The inclusion of the ominous statement, which foreshadows the bloody events that will take place in the film. It also connects to the movie theme that all of the films follow by mentioning a preview or trailer, just like in a real movie. It delves into the meta that the series enjoys experimenting with. "I can only hear you, Sidney."
Sid has been hiding for quite some time when we first meet her in Part 3. What could possibly be her fault? At the very least, she has turned her experiences into a career as a crisis hotline consultant. When ol' Ghostface calls, she bravely decides to step back into the spotlight and kick some ass. This is a much more mature version of the Sidney we've become accustomed to, and it's a very welcome upgrade. Part 4 shows the complete evolution of Sidney. She has progressed, confronted all of her fears, and is no longer afraid. She turned her turbulent life into a best-selling book and is now a full-fledged celebrity. She hasn't let fame change her, and she still has all of her typical good girl qualities. When Ghostface comes knocking, she has no problem reverting to badass survivor mode. What a refreshing change! Ghostface
5 No, Mr. Ghostface, Please Don't Kill Me, I Want To Be In The Sequel!
Even though Randy is Woodsboro High's resident horror aficionado, it appears that the entire town occasionally utters self-aware lines. When it appeared that they had gotten away with it, they began receiving sinister letters threatening to reveal their dirty little secret. When a mysterious figure starts attacking the clique, they realize the danger is all too real. While the plot is intriguing enough to keep you interested, it is the cast that truly shapes the film. Needless to say, the casting was flawless, with Jennifer Love Hewitt, Ryan Phillippe, Sarah Michelle Gellar, and Freddie Prinze Jr. playing four attractive, hapless teenagers. The film may be a little too gory and bloody for some, but what do you expect from a Scream sequel?
