Oh my goodness, this is an awful film. Not only is it awful for families, but it is also one of the worst Scream movies I have had the misfortune of seeing. From beginning to end, it was a torturous ordeal that almost brought me to tears. When they keep ramming the same information down your throat over and over again, the movie tries so hard to seem Meta and Cool because it believes it appeals to the current audience. The characters are all forgettable and dull, and the murderers' motivation is bland and dumb. The protagonist is a Mary Sue type with no redeeming features. I don't feel sorry for her. I have no pity or empathy for her. All I felt was remorse for paying money to see this film rip apart and spit on a wonderful series. Display more

This Wayans Brothers' parody of the blockbuster 'Scream' horror series not only earned a whopping $150 million at the box office, but it also easily outgrossed each of the 'Scream' films it set out to mimic in the first place. But how can you parody a parody of a parody? After all, 'Scream' was as near to parody as a film can go, and there seemed to be little to no additional evident blood left to squeeze from a slasher turnip that had long since run dry. So the Wayans (Kenan, Shawn, and Marlon, who wrote, directed, and acted in 'Scary Movie') didn't even bother. Instead, they substituted the Scream movies' real humor with an incessant procession of filthy gags about farts, penis size, and incest, all wrapped in a smug aura of homophobia and sexism.
Michelle Mancini, a college student, is the first victim in a lengthy string of savage killings inspired by terrifying urban legends. Pendleton College quickly discovers there is a murderer among them, and they have some terrible methods of dispatching them, and anybody on campus may be the next dead person. Screenwriter Silvio Horta developed an original story that is somewhat similar to Screams' adolescent slasher whodunit, but make no mistake, he did a remarkable job regardless of what the IMDB and Rotten Tomatoes evaluations imply. Strong acting abilities from Alicia Witt, cameos from Tara Reid, Jared Leto, and Joshua Jackson, and bizarre but creative murders make Urban Legend ideal for Scream fans.
7th Valentine's Day (2001)
This murder-mystery slasher thriller follows a group of ladies who are preyed upon by someone seeking vengeance for how they treated the antagonist as children. It features a strong cast, including Denise Richards and David Boreanaz, and it keeps you wondering about the identity of the murderer until the very end. This picture follows in the footsteps of previous films that capitalized on Scream's fame, but it also seems like an old school throwback to early 1980s slasher flicks.

Scary Movie 2 is a hysterically funny film! The Exorcist parody at the start is stupid, but SM2 improves dramatically after that! The PQ isn't as horrible as some make it out to be! Hello, Blu-ray.com rated it 3 out of 5 stars!! SM2 is already ten years old, yet it still makes me laugh. Anna Faris, Regina Hall, and Kathleen Robertson are all really attractive! Yes, Marlon Wayans plays the stereotypical pothead, but he's hilarious. Shawn Wayans portrayed the stereotype homosexual black guy, and he's nearly as amusing as Marlon Brando. However, there are two gruesome Ray sequences (the "tucked in" part & "the clown" part). Tim Curry is also amusing. Tori Spelling doesn't do anything other than be smacked by the ghost. After SM2, the Scary Movie series went south since they began mimicking non-scary movies like 8 Mile. The cat fight, the Titanic parody, Shorty vs. The Parrot, The Dress Part with Cindy & Ray, When Cindy beats up the lady & robs her jacket (Save the Last Dance imitation), any scene with Chris Elliott, the Firestone tire, the "lost" Florida Votes, and so on are all funny! lol
To be human, you must franchise. The remaining entities have been ghosts, demons, and extraterrestrials. The scene with Doofy walking normally and feigning his disability at the conclusion of the film is based on the film "The Usual Suspects." Doofy arrives in his room after the credits, "breaking up" with his vacuum cleaner by declaring he's met someone else. This was a reference to the implication that he had been using the vacuum cleaner behind the scenes to imitate oral sex.

Scream by Wes Craven works well as a slasher film with aspects of a whodunit, but it also goes a step further with a subversive self-aware edge. Its antagonists are based on legendary horror villains, and its heroes are well aware that they are in a horror film, making Scream the ultimate parody of horror films.

As he delves further into their past, he comes face to face with stunning truths and individuals with malicious intentions. James Marsden, Katie Holmes, and Nick Stahl make for a really remarkable youthful trio to go on an adventure with. The film's bizarre and funny writing, however, takes the cake.

Casey Becker is the first character that Ghostface teases over the phone in the original Scream film. Casey misses a trick question on the original Friday the 13th film because she is unsure what to make of the weird phone call. After all, it's always Mrs. Vorhees, not Jason, who is the murderer. Ghostface foretells Casey's demise by asking the incorrect question. While her partner does die, it is she who commits the most heinous and sad murder in the film. The phrase also demonstrates Ghostface's proclivity to look down on people who are unfamiliar with the horror film genre, as the murderer is.
I can't believe I'm saying this, but this fifth installment of the series is my favorite. Except for Scream 3, I enjoyed them all, but this one seems superior in so many ways. The script is incredibly creative, almost as if they're playing a game with the audience, and the audience enjoys it! There will be no more dumb character choices as in the previous sequels. In reality, there are several instances when the characters make the best decision conceivable.
Actually, come to think of it, that's exactly what occurred in Scream, and it didn't end well... But, at the very least, you'll be able to frighten your pals with this licensed costume. It will make you seem just like Ghosty, complete with a flowing, torn black robe and hood, as well as the trademark vinyl mask, to give you a genuinely scary appearance. But keep in mind, it's just a movie...
