Ponk afterwards allowed himself to be completely corrupted after learning that Sam had been flirting with Andrea. He may have been corrupted earlier, since he had done other things for the Egg, but it was at this point that he severed all links, thinking Sam had broken his heart. Ponk, who seemed to be corrupted, planted TNT at Foolish's summer home. He said that he was motivated by the Egg and that Foolish needed to submit. He used the Eggpire to blow up the Statue of Ra and murdered Foolish's cat, Nefferkitty.
