Renji Yomo described Hikari as a wild child who had been known to slaughter and consume persons in her youth. A large number of humans without care and was even hinted to have battled and possibly cannibalized on fellow ghouls as well, and due to this destructive track record and her immense bloodthirst, the CCG may have personally classified her as a severely dangerous ghoul and dispatched their strongest to dispose of her. She grew more compassionate and loving after having offspring, yet she still stalked people for sustenance, as her younger brother observed after her death. Hikari's parents and brother were slain, leaving her as Yomo's only caregiver. [1] They remained together until she began dating Arata Kirishima and they created their own family. Hikari presented Touka Kirishima to Yomo as a child and vowed that no matter what happened, she would always be his big sister. [3] Kishou Arima assassinated Hikari. [1] soon after the birth of her son Ayato Kirishima.
Furuta first came out as a quiet and unremarkable figure, but that rapidly changed. Following the Rose Extermination storyline, his behavior became even more unstable, chaotic, and manipulative. Throughout the series, he was able to work in the shadows, interacting with a variety of groups like as the CCG, the Clowns, V, and others without anybody knowing. Furuta is teased during a chat with Sen Takatsuki, alias Eto Yoshimura, after she exposed herself to be a ghoul and surrendered to the CCG, since he is unable to refer to his biological father as such. The ghoul investigator was the illegitimate son of Tsuneyoshi Washuu, previous chief of the CCG, and was born as Souta Washuu-Furuta. This mocking angered Furuta, demonstrating how profoundly uneasy he was about his ancestry and the consequences of his destiny.
They didn't interact much in:re, however he was eager to fight with Amon when he was transformed into a ghoul during the Dragon arc.
While their connection has not been further explored, Suzuya has instructed Mutsuki on how to overcome his fear of his kagune and ghoul talents, as well as how to utilize terror to one's advantage. He also offers to accompany Mutsuki to the auction and has taught him various knife skills, which he utilized against Torso during their fight after the time jump.
