You hadn't realized there was a hole in the ground on your way into the woods, and instead of being able to walk over it, you ended up losing your footing, causing the flint and steel you were holding onto to dig into your palm, causing a deep enough cut for blood to show but not deep enough to hurt. You started to go through your inventory for a bandage but realized you had left it at home, which meant you'd have to walk all the way back since it wouldn't be enjoyable dealing with an infection because you weren't watching where you were going. So you decided to take the way back to your house and return after your hand has been washed and bandaged. You didn't expect to see a tall blonde boy roaming around your modest house. As the front door closed, he turned to face you, and he almost instantly spotted the wound on your hand, or rather, your attempt to conceal it.

Tommy, on the very last moving platform, however, lifted the Axe of Peace too soon and was trapped. Sam ordered Tommy to return, and he felt deeply wounded by this violation of trust. Tommy asked Sam to let him murder Dream, but Sam refused since it was against his policy. Meanwhile, Dream kidnapped Ghostbur and demanded his release. When Sam refused, Dream murdered Ghostbur and revived Wilbur. Following that, Sam escorted Tommy out. Tommy held Sam responsible for everything that transpired in the jail and refused to acknowledge he was at fault.
