Because, despite the fact that he wasn't a knight (only those of nobility may become one), Gazef had the devotion, selflessness, and courage of one. It saddens me that such a decent man was assassinated by Ainz just because they were on different sides during the kingdoms' conflict, but his death does not erase his inspirational legacy.
