Dream SMP adheres to an engaging roleplay model in which all server participants take on the role of a character. Dream SMP was established on April 24, 2020 by Dream and GeorgeNotFound. Technoblade joined on September 22nd, 2020, and has since played an important part in Dream SMP. Technoblade took on the role of an anarchist, opposing L'Manberg's regime. His disdain for the government prompted him to form an alliance with Wilbur Soot and TommyInnit, who were banished from Manberg and plotting vengeance. They invaded and destroyed Manberg after weeks of planning.
Although many story aspects are written, they do not always play out as intended, and the producers must improvise, as shown during the Manberg Festival.
