While Hide was an intern, the two became friends and often have lunch together in the cafeteria. He would express his frustrations and misgivings, but Hide's efforts to get sensitive information from him were futile. Dr. Kanou is responsible for Takizawa's change, seeing him as a successful effort to "recreate" Kaneki. He was also Takizawa's main tormentor, subjecting him to intrusive testing and severe torture in order to increase his strength.
Takizawa's kakuja is unfinished at this level. The kakuja completely envelops the wearer, including a mask that conceals the user's face. Shards of the user's secondary color emerge from the back and shoulders, with a blade extending from the user's right arm, the blade itself bigger than the user's own body, as in the previous stage. When you use this stage, you get a 20% speed boost and words appear on the screen (previous owner's memory/thoughts).
