Print the templates on paper and cut out one of each kind of petal for tracing if you are cutting the flowers by hand. Trace the design onto the cardstock for your flowers and cut out 8 petals of each size. If you're using a cutting tool, you'll need 8 of each size of petal (small, medium, and big) to build a complete flower [four bud petals are also required if you want to add a bud]. The petal templates are put out on an 8 12 × 11 picture canvas; you will need to modify the canvas and create copies for your cutting tool. As you get more acquainted with the procedure, you may experiment with using more or fewer petals.
