Eren, Mikasa, and Armin are the nine characters in the series. Trio of two men and one woman from the manga and anime series Attack on Titan is another great one. Despite the fact that these three individuals are so different, they have formed a new family that is kept together by the strength of one another's bonds of friendship.
That doesn't mean Haruhi hasn't had her share of hardships. It isn't shown as a dramatic tragedy, but rather as a mournful memory of a simpler time. Although her father is a professional cross-dresser, they have a terrific connection. And even when her rich pals are behaving like neanderthals, she manages to keep her calm. When it comes to Haruhi, she's completely...normal. Part of what makes her such an interesting character is that she defies all expectations for a character in this genre. Characters are no exception to the rule that the finest things come in threes. For a variety of reasons, some of the finest anime shows contain protagonists that appear in trios. There are more variables when there are three people involved in a problem. There can only be one romantic connection if there are only two people involved. However, as you've seen in every anime with a trio of characters, you get a whole plethora of connections when you have three. For some reason, the nice guys seem to make up the majority of anime trios, although this isn't the case for every one. Some of these characters are a mix of good and bad.
