He's not difficult to summon. He's an apprentice-level spell that might deplete a non-magicka mage's reserve, but who cares? It will be replenished in around 30 seconds anyhow (outside of battle). Shadowmere was fantastic in Oblivion because to his invincibility and tanking abilities. However, in Skyrim, his main distinguishing feature is that its health regeneration is very high, and it has a severely buggy ability to resurrect itself roughly 2 weeks after death, which often fails.

Shadowmere.
I have vivid recollections of obtaining him in Oblivion, and I continue to believe he is the finest form of transportation in the game (aside from traveling whilst floating a full foot above the ground...).
Shadowmere has a stronger hold on me. But, as I almost only play Assassins, you can guess which quest line all of my characters usually go through first. lol I adore the DB, and Shadowmere is the ideal setting for all of my characters!
