You'd assume this was about music or PS4 themes, wouldn't you? There's a reason behind this. Cloud and his blocky skull spikes are among the many details that fans like in Final Fantasy. Cloud's tale was engrossing and unlike anything else we'd experienced as gamers up to that time. It started with his jumping off a train and finished with him Omnislashing Sepiroth into bits, and every minute in between was exciting. Last but not least, does anybody else recall the FFVII advertisements that appeared in gaming publications and featured all of the characters and their massive weapons? Was I the only one who found this fascinating? Sephiroth, how could he wield Masamune, a sword that was longer than he was tall? Why was Yuffie's Shuriken the size of a road sign? Most importantly, how in the world could Cloud possibly take up that crazy Buster Sword? This was before I even started playing the game. It never occurred to me that no one could conceivably bear any of these arms since then. Cloud, in particular, has the ability to do whatever he wants.
This inner conflict, though, is what makes him the sort of guy you want to cheer for. This is especially true when you consider everything he has given up to reach this far. He chased his aspirations as a child despite his parents' abandonment, and he continues to do so even after falling from favor. If it isn't dedication, please explain what it is.
