And you may have pondered why you can't even write a birthday card message, or why drawing stick figures is the closest you'll ever come to sketching a family photo.
Activity 2: Draw a Monster for Describing People
This following project is a wonderful game for teaching youngsters about descriptions. Give each pupil a piece of paper and a pencil to play this game. Then play the video above. The kids must read the phrases that describe a monster's look.

Daily drawing challenges are available on Tumblr, Instagram, and other sites (think Inktober, but yearlong). Joining one of these and uploading your drawings can help you to be more accountable and motivated. Not only will pre-determined themes provide you with direction and exactly the appropriate amount of limits to work within, but you will also be joining a creative community that provides feedback.
John Singer Sargent created a picture of affluent Parisian socialite Virginie Amlie Avegno Gautreau in 1884. He initially represented her gown's golden strap sliding off her shoulder, but the artwork outraged upper-class society.
